Well it makes for a good day for them to sit down and talk, I guess. Friends (if that's what they are) often have things to say. I'm sure the storm will be over before they know it.
This art style is amazing! There is just so much detail here. I can EASILY recognize each of these pokemon (although the grey bird's name escapes me at the moment). What I like about this is that it is not overly realistic, but it has a sense of realism to it. What I mean is that the pokemon look cute and true to their original art, while the world around them seems real in a sense. The tree wood actually looks like wood and easily identifiable. The rain and clouds look awesome too. The pokemon themselves have a nice touch of emotion in their faces, or lack-there-of . Boredom and irritation is what you were going for with their expressions, and that is captured nicely. Everyone here looks bored except for the Pidgey, who looks more annoyed; most likely due to the fact it is "grounded." The final bit to say is the lighting and shadows. These were executed PERFECTLY. The way the flash from the lightning illuminates the appropriate side of the pokemon while the other side casts a shadow...Excellent!
